I devise personalized lessons and learning objectives for each individual. Students of all ages and skill levels collaborate with me to plan engaging and challenging lessons to reach a wide array of goals, be they listening and speaking comprehension, pronunciation for singers, or academic support. Je passe du temps avec chacun de mes élèves pour apprendre à les connaitre afin de préparer un curriculum adapté à leur niveau, leur âge et leurs intérêts. Mes cours sont engageants et pédagogiques et aident mes élèves à atteindre l'objectif qu'ils se sont fixés, que ce soit l'apprentissage de la lecture, l'approfondissement des notions de grammaire de base ou avancée, l'amélioration de la prononciation pour les chanteurs, le perfectionnement de l'orthographe, ou simplement la maitrise de la conversation de tous les jours. FRENCH LESSONS
For ages 13 and up
Taught over Zoom. A personally-curated private lesson plan built to address the student's age, interests, and language goals. French lessons are structured by unit, and students receive a monthly lesson plan with specific goals in mind. Opportunity to immerse oneself in the language with a balanced curriculum of culture, communication, vocabulary, and grammar. Lessons offer supplementary homework to help students solidify new concepts and review them.
FRENCH TUTORING
For middle school to university students
Conducted over Zoom. Tutoring offers academic support for students currently pursuing French in grade school and college. Together, we will discuss your goals and challenges, and build your understanding of French grammar, orthography, speaking, or anything else you might like to work on!
AP FRENCH COACHING
Taught over Zoom. An intensive style of tutoring that aims to help students prepare for the AP French exam. Students review grammar and practice advanced listening and speaking situations. The month leading up to the exam (in May) are geared towards drilling timed writing strategies for the email and argumentative essay portions of the exam. Supplementary homework will also be assigned.
LA PHONÉTIQUE
For all ages / Pour tous les âges
Taught over Zoom. French phonetics is hard, and that's just putting it lightly! This package focuses exclusively on French pronunciation rules and patterns, and is especially well-suited for singers who wish to sing French lyrics, or French learners approaching fluency who would like to master the rhythmic and phonetic quirks of French.
WRITING MENTORSHIP
For high school and university classes
Conducted over Zoom. A flexible service meant to assist students on essays and writing assignments. Brainstorming an essay prompt, developing an outline, working through first and final drafts, and formatting citations correctly are all common and valuable goals, and students may elect to meet once, or several times as they develop their work.​
Writing mentorship is a collaborative process meant to help students grow confident in their ideas and abilities. It is not an editing service to root out typos and spelling mistakes.
AUDITION COACHING
Taught over Zoom or in person. A performance class geared at assisting students for college and graduate school musical theater auditions. We will work together to curate excellent monologue and song cuts and selections to stand out at the audition! These are not voice lessons. Instead, students will focus on story and performance, rather than singing technique.
